Macallan Quest Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky [1000ml]

A stunning single malt from Macallan’s Quest Collection, this scotch was matured in both ex-bourbon American oak casks and hand-picked sherry casks made of European oak and American oak, as well as hogshead casks. The nose highlights soft fruits and a citrus edge, and sweet, subtle vanilla. The palate brings out flavours of apples and ginger alongside nutmeg and warm cinnamon.

Each single malt within the range is an exploration of flavour and texture, from vibrant and fresh through to rich and intense, concluding with a whisky that signifies the essence of The Macallan. The Macallan Quest represents the beginning of the Quest Collection journey, in this lively and fresh whisky.

It comes in a litre bottle as it was originally produced for airport retail.

Tasting Note

Nose: Gentle lemon notes arrive first, with milk chocolate and butterscotch leaping out afterwards.

Palate: Slightly spicier than the nose, with warming oak and cinnamon developing underneath caramel notes.

Finish: Touches of raisin and vanilla pod.
