The Glenlivet 12 Year Old’s legendary smooth character and tropical fruity notes come from spending quality time in a mix of American oak casks, which have been seasoned with Bourbon, and European oak.
Whilst a selection of different oak casks enhance the whisky’s flavor, the origins of it lies in the mineral-rich spring water drawn from Josie’s Well, our unique water source.
Tasting Note
Nose: Apricot, pineapple, greengages, citrus blossom and toasted teacake.
Palate: Buttery and vanilla-rich, though still packing all the bright fruit notes from the nose.
Finish: A soft crackle of oaky spice and malt, plus a hint of red apple juiciness.
