Like the clear, exquisite song of a small bird, it features an agreeably pure, mellow flavor.

Carefully selected unprocessed whiskies and pure, natural spring water are expertly blended to create this distinctive whisky.

Tasting Note

Nose: A faint suggestion of smoke with pear blossom and plump sultana.

Palate: Tinned pears on the palate, with banana bread and thick custard.

Finish: Creamy oak spice and a floral elderflower finish.

Tenjaku Pure Malt Japanese Whisky [700ml]

天雀 – the Japanese characters for the skylark (hibari), the much-loved herald of spring in the East and West, and for this masterfully blended whisky.

This new blend, the brain child of Master Distiller Kenji Watanabe, uses 100% aged malt whiskies. Once the double copper pot distillation and blending processes are complete, they age Tenjaku Pure Malt in heavily used bourbon barrels for up to six years to allow the flavors the time they need to fully mature. Tenjaku Pure Malt boasts a rich flavor with a slightly nutty taste featuring hints of green apples and herbs. The subtle finish has notes of smoky vanilla and a woody tone. It’s true that variety is the spice of life, and with this in mind, we are excited to provide our loyal fans with yet another way to enjoy the Tenjaku experience.

Tasting Note

Nose: Nutty, with hints of green apple and fresh herbs. Richly rounded with a hint of smokiness.

Palate: Delicate and smooth.

Finish: Gentle vanilla notes give way to a long woody finish.
